Lifting Equipment Technician

Vattenfall Hydro Power is looking for a Lifting Equipment Technician. Together we modernise and maintain all kinds of lifting equipment in our hydropower plants. The position is flexibly located in Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland or Gävleborg.

Main tasks:

• Assembly, installation and electro-mechanical troubleshooting of cranes, overhead trolleys, hoists and other lifting devices
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Advisory work and improvement proposals for equipment and routines
• Safety matters such as inspections, regulations and statutory requirements
• Administrative duties: updating maintenance systems, protocols, scheduling

Travel to Vattenfall facilities throughout Sweden and overnight stays are a natural part of the job.

Qualifications:

• Upper-secondary education in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Experience in industrial machine maintenance
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and schematic reading is an advantage
• Experience in servicing lifting appliances and equipment is highly desirable
• Category B driving licence
• Good command of Swedish and preferably English
• Good IT skills

Personal qualities: responsible, accurate, safety-conscious, service-minded, positive and used to working independently. You enjoy creating new contacts and are comfortable working at height.
