Lifting Equipment Technician

Vattenfall Hydropower is looking for a Lifting Equipment Technician to modernise and maintain all types of lifting equipment in our power plants. The position can be based flexibly in Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland or Gävleborg.

You will install, commission and troubleshoot cranes, overhead travelling cranes and hoists both mechanically and electrically. Duties include maintenance, technical advice, continuous improvement and compliance with inspection rules and safety regulations. Travel to hydropower plants throughout Sweden with overnight stays is required.

Qualifications:

• Upper-secondary education in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Experience in industrial machine maintenance
• Skills in fault tracing and schematic reading – meriting
• Service experience on lifting gear – highly meriting
• Category B driving licence, good command of Swedish and preferably English
• Good IT skills and ability to work in maintenance systems
• Safety-conscious, meticulous, positive and cooperative
• Comfortable working at height
