Senior Planner

Purchase & Logistics

This position is the primary role for supervising the development and maintenance of tooling for Vestas Americas forecast and delivery plan for the supply chain. This is completed through the analysis, development and management of a plan for existing and new construction sites. This position requires a significant emphasis on continuously optimizing resources throughout Vestas Americas to meet internal and external business goals.

Responsibilities

· Perform SAP business processes

· Participation in relevant projects.

· Establish and monitor production schedules, and production activity to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met, including daily data inputs.

· Ensure adequate quantity and timing of material and product inventory within the supply chain to meet organizational goals.

· Calculates factors, such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.

· Record and monitor inventory activity. Coordinate audit program to ensure accuracy of automated transactions. Reconcile transfer discrepancies.

· Improve and facilitate planning processes in the tools warehouse

· Implementation of new forecasting and planning methods.

· Responsible for tools purchasing forecast

· Responsible for master planning of tools demand

· Responsible for parts level planning: Safety stock creation

· Responsible for ensuring improvement processes for tools utilization: Rental calculation, performance measurements.

· Responsible for tools budget creation.

· Responsible for investment process, create investment requests, based on budget or approved business cases.

Qualifications

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software programs

· Effective written and oral communication skills;

· Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner

· Ability to work with limited supervision

Competencies

· Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience production planning, inventory management or related industry

· Open-minded and good at sharing/gathering information within a team.

· Able to cope with change and working under ambiguous circumstances.

· High interpersonal and communication skills, focusing on good teamwork.

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Analytical and organizational skills

· Self-motivated and self-directed

· Ability to identify and resolve problems.

· Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience with SAP or ERP/MRP software for supply chain /inventory management.

Salary range: $78,000 - 88,000
