Shift Engineer

Your Day at a Glance

As Shift Engineer you continuously monitor all plant systems, respond to alarms with appropriate actions, start up or shut down the plant as required, ensure safe and efficient operation to meet power-generation targets, and coordinate emergency response.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Continuous monitoring of all power-plant systems
• Immediate response to alarms and corrective actions
• Execution of start-up and shut-down procedures
• Safe, efficient operation in line with generation targets
• Emergency management and coordination
• Use of the computerized SPPA-M3000 system for shift logs, fault reporting, work orders and spare-parts requisitions

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or power engineering or comparable experience
• Previous maintenance experience in combined-cycle power plants is an advantage
• Solid understanding of mechanical, I&C and electrical equipment
• In-depth knowledge of power-plant operations and confident decision-making in emergencies
• Comprehensive knowledge of gas-turbine maintenance
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication, well-organized and proactive
