Supplier Manager for NPI - Coating

Your Mission

You will qualify and technically support suppliers for coating, drilling and assembly of gas-turbine components. You are responsible for qualification, quality, schedules and costs, and drive the development and industrialization of new manufacturing processes at supplier sites. Acting as the technical interface between design and production, you solve quality issues, analyze data, identify improvement potential and initiate corrective actions. With growing experience you will take on larger projects.

Your Contribution to Decarbonization

• Increase efficiency of our gas-turbine components
• Lead product & process qualifications (PPQ) and production of hot-gas parts at assigned suppliers
• Manage NPI projects incl. budget and milestone tracking
• Optimize supplier processes through statistical data analysis and reduce cost of non-conformance
• Execute cost and lead-time reduction projects at coating suppliers
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and feasibility studies

What You Need

• Degree in mechanical, process or materials engineering, chemistry or equivalent (experience may substitute formal education)
• 5+ years of experience in thermal spray processes (LPPS, LVPS, APS, HVOF); basic knowledge of drilling, welding and supplier management
• Project-management experience and cross-functional teamwork
• Intercultural skills and willingness to travel (~25 %)
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
