Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) for High-Voltage Direct-Current Transmission – Converter Control

Your mission

You will commission and functionally test the control & protection (C&P) systems of our HVDC converters. In the Nuremberg test center and on construction sites worldwide you ensure that HVDC projects are completed on time and with verified quality.

• Integration and functional testing of C&P hardware and software for HVDC schemes
• Preparation and execution of converter-control test programs including full documentation
• Support in quality, risk and claim management
• Participation in continuous-improvement activities (Lean, reviews, lessons learned)

Your profile

• Degree in electrical or power engineering (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience in industrial plant commissioning preferred; knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens SIMATIC, power electronics and high-voltage equipment advantageous
• Fluent German and English
• High willingness to travel (≈ 50 % test center, 50 % national/international sites, optional offshore); class-B driving license preferred
• Team player with initiative and strong decision-making skills
