Project Manager Technical Issues

Your area of responsibility

As Project Manager Technical Issues you will organize and steer the entire problem-solving chain for fleet-wide plant risks in gas turbines, generators or steam turbines. Together with the Technical Lead, you head an interdisciplinary team from engineering, purchasing and service and are responsible for strategy, schedules, budgets and communication until risk is minimized.

• Plan and lead projects to solve fleet-wide technical problems – from problem definition and root-cause analysis to validation of solutions
• Coordinate all internal interfaces and conduct comprehensive stakeholder management to ensure project progress
• Develop risk-mitigation strategies as well as internal and external communication concepts
• Prepare project schedules and control milestones and budgets
• Ensure quality by feeding "lessons learned" back into product organizations to avoid repeated errors
• Prepare and occasionally attend customer meetings and worldwide site visits

Your qualifications

• University degree in mechanical engineering or comparable subject plus several years of professional experience with gas turbines, generators or steam turbines
• Knowledge of plant and project business
• Experience in task-forces and successful collaboration in problem-solving programs
• Negotiation-level German and English
• Leadership experience in global teams and projects with high business risk
