Coating Engineer (f/m/d) Ceramic Coating

Your key responsibilities

As part of a global team of engineers and scientists you develop new ceramic coating materials, manufacturing and testing processes for stationary gas turbines and thus support the energy transition. You drive technology projects from qualification through industrialization to series production and maintain close cooperation with internal and external partners – from raw material suppliers to research institutions. You identify funding opportunities and acquire public grants.

Your tasks

• Analysing customer requirements for high-temperature coatings
• Developing innovative materials and processes, especially thermal barrier coatings
• Acting as technical interface between development, manufacturing, quality and service
• Acquiring public funding for R&D projects

Your profile

• University degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or similar, ideally with a PhD
• Several years of professional experience with ceramic coatings or ceramic materials (e.g. thermal barrier coatings, corrosion protection, refractories)
• Sound knowledge of high-temperature materials and oxidation/corrosion protection
• Project management skills (e.g. PLM)
• Very good German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
