Position Overview

Responsibilities  

  • Review Project concepts including but not limited to, Turbine Supply Agreement, Order Intake Calculation, Construction Execution Plan & Project Procurement Plan

  • Plan according to project budgets and support Construction Project Management during monthly forecasting processes.

  • Create and support project specific plans

  • Define site layouts for Pre-assembly & Commissioning sites including details relating to existing infrastructure, Quayside Areas, Component Storage Areas, Heavy Lift Areas, Office, Warehouse & Platform Facility locations, transportation routes etc.

  • Confirmation of Installation Vessel Interface and Component load out

  • Work with the Lifting Appointed Person, to ensure the Pre-assembly Crane setup is aligned with tower type, quayside equipment setup and load out requirements

  • Work with the Lead Nominated Person, to define the Pre-Assembly sites electrical infrastructure requirements and operational consumption values

  • Define Scope of Work for main contractors including Tower Package, Quayside Equipment, Crane & Ground Transport and continuous support for Site Resource Sourcing and Commodity departments

  • Responsible for the commencement & appointment of 3rd party supplier/tenders relevant to Pre-assembly scope e.g. Tower Build Contractors, Cranes, Office facilities, Site Plant, Mobilization Contractors, Stevedores etc.

  • Ensure baseline project specific tooling and spares are identified and Project Specific amendments are provided to Project Order Management, including relevant delivery schedules

  • Define Project Specific Scopes of Work for third party tenders

  • Support Project Procurement in identifying suitable suppliers

  • Participate in the sales and tender activities (sales, planning and executions phases) in relation to Pre-assembly scope.

  • Support the Project Construction Documentation Review Board process

  • Complete handover to Construction Project Management, Site Managers & Installations Leads prior to mobilization.

  • Support the onsite execution team throughout Project duration during mobilization, execution and closing phase, physically and via back office·

  • Responsible for the Pre-Assembly and Harbour Planning Manager Team Lessons Learnt & in supporting the Projects Lessons Learnt process.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills 

  • A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

  • Technical background with mechanical/constructional experience in wind industry

  • You have a prior profound knowledge of site and engineering,

  • You have min. 3-5 years of experience, preferably from a similar position in an international organization.

  • You are talented at multi-stakeholder management and achieve your results through great negotiation skills.

  • You are persistent, solution oriented and you possess an intercultural understanding.

  • You have excellent communication and English skills, both speaking and in writing

  • People management and good communication capabilities, ability to inspire others showing commitment to achieving targets / goals.

  • Demonstrates good decision-making skills and takes responsibility for decisions taken.

  • Minimum of 30% of travel required with the position.

  • Can develop an environment in which others can work to the best of their abilities allowing creative and innovative thoughts and ideas.

  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

  • Qualified applicants may be allowed remote working opportunities, based on business needs.

Preferred Knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program

  • Hands on work experience as a Wind Technician on a Wind Farm

  • General Electrical or Mechanical training or certification(s)
