Senior Data Engineer – Data Platform Team

Aira cuts CO₂ emissions through efficient heat pumps and makes clean energy-tech easy and affordable for homeowners. Founded in 2022, the company now employs 1,000+ people and aims to equip 5 million households with green technology by 2034. HQ is in Stockholm, production is in Poland, with additional offices in the UK, Germany and Italy.

Responsibilities

• Scale and maintain the central Google-Cloud data platform
• Build scalable streaming and batch pipelines (Kafka, ELT/ETL)
• Deliver secure, reliable data products for analytics, ML and software teams
• Establish Data-Mesh architecture with distributed data ownership
• Optimise performance, monitoring and data quality
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions

Profile

• Several years of data-engineering experience with Python, SQL, Java
• Hands-on implementation using Dagster, DBT/DLT, GCP (or AWS)
• Solid knowledge of Kafka, Schema Registry and CI/CD & code hygiene
• Cloud-native data and ML environments
• Solution-oriented, strong communicator and team player
