Supplier Quality Engineer Large Steel Fabrication (f/m/d)

Your area of responsibility

As a Supplier Quality Engineer for Large Steel Fabrications, you take on strategic responsibility in global procurement. You qualify suppliers worldwide, analyse complaints, conduct root-cause analyses and implement preventive and risk-mitigation measures. You work in an intercultural environment with local and global teams.

Your tasks

• Leading cross-functional teams in product and process qualification at suppliers
• Monitoring supplier quality performance, analysing quality incidents and risks and deriving risk-mitigation measures
• Initiating and implementing supplier quality-improvement programmes
• Integrating procurement aspects into the product-development process, promoting early supplier involvement and ensuring supplier feedback is considered in product definition
• Planning and conducting regular supplier audits

Your profile

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Qualification as an International Welding Engineer
• Several years of experience in supplier-quality management or manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and testing procedures for large welded components
• SAP know-how in MM and QM modules
• Fluent German and negotiation-level English
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
