Responsible for total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of the assigned commodities (with the focus on Pooling) in Japan. Working closely with the regional procurement team and stakeholders to ensure the smooth ON business operation in Japan.
  • Managing all procurement activities for assigned commodities in Japan. Responsible for the total purchasing Volume (PVO) for service and direct material in Japan.
  • Defines and implements commodity strategy and managing procurement activities in a cost-effective way to strengthens ON wind power's competitiveness in Japan market.
  • Contributes to overarching Procurement programs and initiatives.
  • Ensuring all P2P activities are compliance with Procurement policies and regulations.
  • Responsible for PVO, Productivity and related other KPIs..
  • Analyzes stakeholder's demands and plan commodity strategies accordingly to obtain best TCO and quality for the company.
  • Conducts market analysis, supplier selection, qualification, evaluation, classification, and development to promote possible cost reduction opportunities.
  • Identify particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces in Japan to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk management and change management.
  • Continuously identify with internal and external stakeholders' opportunities to increase value add of function and execute.
  • Plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationship with strategic suppliers. Analyzes scope of supply and contract agreements, carries out risk analyses and introduces negotiation recommendations.
  • Continue to develop supplier base to ensure enough capacity and service level to fulfil business growth.
  • Responsible for Supplier Lifecycle Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification, phase out).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain related.
  • At least 5 years and above experience in Strategic Procurement, preferably in Project or Service Procurement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit and familiar with eProcurement tools (e.g. Ariba & Workday a plus)-
  • Familiar with ERP system, SAP preferable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skill.
  • Strong stakeholder's management skill.
  • Project management skill is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and attention to details. Able to work in a face pace and high-pressure environment.
