Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Supply Chain and Transport > Strategic Supply Network  The Strategic Forecast & Footprint Department is responsible for aligning and fulfilling the requirements from our Sales and Operations functions within Vestas, so to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency. It involves Global as well as Regional cross-functional collaboration between the Key functions of Sales, Operations and Finance in order to develop comprehensive plans that integrates Sales forecasts with Operations Capabilities. Our Primary goal is to ensure that the organization can meet customer demands while optimizing resources and reducing cost and working capital exposure. The Supply Network Senior Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving alignment between Manufacturing, Sales, R&D, Finance, and other key departments within the organization. The primary focus will be on developing and executing robust, futureproof and competitive production footprint solutions in order to optimize resource utilization, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive overall business performance.  

Responsibilities

  • Enable optimized Customer Demand fulfillment through an optimal supply network consisting of internal and external factories
  • Develop and implement Supply footprint strategies together with colleagues from Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and R&D
  • Drive strategic supply chain footprint changes and the related investment decisions, ensuring that we at all times support the short term goals and the long term strategies of the company
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance and R&D teams to gather relevant data and insights for Supply Chain forecasting, Risk and Opportunity management and Cost and Cashflow optimization, thereby making data-driven decisions to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Support the development of, Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, Cashflow, Production efficiency, Inventory development, CO2 emmisions development and cost reductions targets across the Supply network
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the Supply Network processes, enhance the efficiency of the network, and improve overall business agility
  • Provide regular updates and reports to global and reginal senior management on Supply Network Performance, key insights, and decisions for improvement

Qualifications On a professional level, we expect you to have the following qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Sales or R&D
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in Sales and Operations Planning, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Procurement 
  • Experience with structuring complex Supply Chains consisting of internal and external factories, driving large scale investment decision and budget responsibility from an International environment is a benefit but not a must have
  • Experience from a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment is a benefit.
  • Demonstrated direct or indirect leadership abilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
  • Proficiency in S&OP software tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle ASCP, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively at the same time

Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex data into simpler actionable insights, recommendations and most importantly decision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Capable of and motivated by developing cross functional strategies and professional presentations targeted at reaching cross functional complex decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
  • Proficiency in advanced excel (Macros, Functions and Power Query etc.) and familiarity with SAP Analysis for excel
  • Fundamental knowledge of SAP Analytics cloud (SAC) and other visualization tools such as PowerBI/Tableau is desirable
