Expert Compliance Engineer

Job Description

Northvolt Poland is currently looking for a skilled and driven Expert Product Compliance Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative Battery Systems team!

In this role, you will be in charge of driving our product compliance strategy and ensuring that we meet all customer, internal, and standard requirements in order to gain market access in various regions across the world for our battery systems.

Our global compliance engineering team, with members located in both Gdansk and Stockholm, plays a key role in achieving these objectives. The team works closely with the overall R&D department, collaborating on development projects to ensure that our products not only meet but exceed industry standards.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

• Background in areas of Electrical or Mechanical engineering
• +10 years of experience in compliance engineering from the battery industry or similar
• Experience in applying current European and American Directives/Standards for Lithium-ion battery products or other related products
• Experience in certification of products within and outside Europe
• Ability to work in an autonomously driven, fast paced and demanding start up

About the company

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.

Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
