Job Description

Currently we are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our growing team and gain valuable experience in a fast paced and international environment.

The person would ensure the appropriateness of the quality standards in the production area and represent the company in the eyes of the customer when it comes to quality culture. The position inclines employee's daily contribution to building a pro-quality image of the company, including an excellent approach to the tasks set for all co-workers and a constant search for innovative solutions.

The key responsibilities:

• Work in accordance with safety system guidelines
• Work in accordance with the guidelines of the quality management system and environmental management based on the internal procedures and instructions.
• Implementing quality standards and quality mindset in the organization.
• Control of the production process, validation of compliance with the applicable documentation (standards, procedures, instructions, and Control Plan)
• QRQC analysis of quality problems and implementation of actions.
• Knowledge of and supervision over the implementation of modifications and derogations
• Reporting of inspection results 
• Supervision of sorting, reworking, or repairing
• Verification of equipment calibration and tooling used by production
• Clarification of quality discrepancies together with a dedicated quality engineer
• Location management with non-compliant product
• Perform other tasks assigned by manager

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have: 

• Experience in manufacturing company
• Command of spoken and written English at level that allows you to communicate freely with foreign customers or Northvolt team members 
• Command of spoken and written Polish at level that allows you to communicate freely with people who do not speak English
• Computer skills: proficient in MS Office suite, Flowcharter, SAP 
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies: 8D, 5xWHY, PDCA and others required by the client
• Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently

About the company

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Founded in 2016 to enable the European transition to a decarbonized future, Northvolt has made swift progress on its mission to deliver the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery with a minimal CO2 footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
