Job Description

We are looking for a driven Senior Resource Management Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Blueprint team based in Västerås, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing our factory blueprint of our giga-factories and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job: Factory Design & Engineering ( FD&E ) is a core central function within the Industrial landscape at Northvolt, operating from our technical base of the Labs facility in Västerås. The core mission for FD&E is to deliver robust planning from project kick off through Master Planning, Concept (10% ) and Basic Design (30%) before handing over to the local project technical teams, whilst holding full accountability to Build and Commissioning of the physical asset. Central to the continued success of the Industrialization of our products we work, pan globally. The Senior Resource Management Engineer is responsible for the effective management of FD&E resource profiles, staffing, and reporting. This is a pivotal role in ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance tracking to support project leaders and team managers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain FD&E resource profiles as well as external resource profiles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Create custom reports for project leaders and team managers to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Track forecasted resource allocation versus actuals, identifying and addressing variations.
  • Employ systematic delivery approaches to enhance resource utilization and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to align resource management with overall project objectives.
  • Manage the total cost of projects led by FD&E, including costs for both internal and external resources.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • MSc in Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working within automotive/electronics/battery industry or construction.
  • Exceptional communications skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Experience in resource management or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment, including resource optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Specific Skills:

  • Excellent English written and oral skills.
  • Highly organized and result driven.
  • Proficiency in resource management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and make well informed decisions.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality reporting.
