Industrial Cyber Security Engineer (f/m/d) – Mechanical Systems

As Industrial Cyber Security Engineer (f/m/d) you secure climate-friendly power plants, Power-to-X projects and other energy solutions worldwide. You analyse customer requirements, design project-specific security concepts compliant with IEC 62443 / ISO 2700x and guide their implementation until final acceptance.

Your responsibilities

• Analyse cybersecurity requirements from contracts, regulations and standards
• Create security blueprints, test specifications and threat & risk analyses
• Develop holistic, project-specific security designs in close coordination with internal/external stakeholders
• Support execution phase: hardening, FAT/SAT, vulnerability management
• Advise on standards such as IEC 62443, ISO 27k, NERC CIP, NIST, NIS2, CRA

Your profile

• Degree or professional experience in cyber security, mechatronics, computer science or similar
• Experience with IT/OT security, network technology and risk analysis per IEC 62443
• Understanding of power-plant and mechanical systems (fuel, cooling, drives) advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills, organisational talent and willingness to travel (10–15 %)
• Fluent German and English
