Job Description

<p>In this role, you will:</p><ul><li><strong>Facilitate effective communication</strong> between the multiple business units and the BI department, ensuring relevant updates and news flow smoothly in both directions to align teams on priorities and data-driven decisions.</li><li><strong>Oversee and orchestrate the strategic roadmapping process</strong>, ensuring alignment with business goals while driving the long-term vision for the department.</li><li><strong>Lead sprint planning and ensure project timelines are adhered to</strong>, actively monitoring progress and coordinating efforts to keep projects aligned with department goals.</li><li><strong>Mentor and guide a team of five BI professionals</strong>, fostering professional development, collaboration, and a growth-oriented environment while aligning team goals with business objectives.</li><li><strong>Promote a self-service analytics culture </strong>through training, documentation, and proactive engagement with teams to ensure widespread use of BI tools and data-driven decision-making.</li><li><strong>Oversee design of dbt data models</strong>, optimizing for efficiency and ensuring scalability to meet business requirements.</li></ul>

Qualifications

<p><strong>This role is perfect for you if you bring...</strong></p><p><strong>Experience and Technical Expertise:</strong></p><p>· 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a similar analytical role, with at least 1 year of leadership experience</p><p>· Proven experience and proficiency in SQL</p><p>· Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable dbt models, implementing best practices for data modeling, documentation, and version control to ensure efficiency and reliability</p><p>· Expertise in using BI tools such as Power BI &amp; Tableau for complex data visualization and reporting</p><p>· Proficiency in Python for data analysis and report creation</p><p><strong>Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:</strong></p><p>· Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguous, undocumented datasets, using strong data detective skills to identify anomalies, uncover patterns, and model the data in a way that makes it accessible and useful for business analysts</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the underlying business processes that generate data within our systems</p><p>· Experience with ETL/ELT processes, automation, and optimizing data pipelines to support business operations and analytics</p><p><strong>Communication, Leadership, and Project Management Skills:</strong></p><p>· Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical data into actionable insights for diverse teams</p><p>· Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, with a strong emphasis on scoping and information gathering to ensure clear project requirements, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives</p><p><strong>Not a must, but it would be great if you have:</strong></p><p>· Knowledge of capital markets, finance, and/or investment management</p><p>· Knowledge of ERP systems and their application in financial processes</p><p>· Experience in working with Big Data assets (IoT data)</p>
