Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO NCE > Direct Procurement Vestas Procurement department is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development, supplier relationship management and project procurement management.

This position reports directly to the North Central Eastern Europe Procurement organization and indirectly (dotted line) to the central Procurement Program Management organization.

Responsibilities 

Overall expected scope of work and deliverables include: 

  • Build, monitor and report the project procurement plan and create a complete project end to end reporting overview
  • Supplier capacity tracker, supply chain readiness (WTG / Towers / Blades / Site Parts) and investments necessity and review WTG/Blades/Tower best TLC and validate timing plan
  • Develop together with engineering and commodity managers cost out targets, for specific offers
  • Supplier List updates, Local Content execution, ITAP coordination in Procurement / SQD 
  • Ensure supplier awareness of the project specific requirements 
  • Build a significant network within Vestas, including close engagement with colleagues from Technology, Sales, Supply Chain, Construction, Project Management, Finance and Quality, enabling you to influence, collaborate and partner with business leaders to achieve results for Vestas
  • Structure a pro-active stakeholder management, including executive management level stakeholders

Qualifications  As a Purchasing Manager, you (m/f/d) are expected to be a great example in following procedures but as well to challenge the organization in our ways of working seeking continuous improvement. The right candidate for this role should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within Procurement or Project Procurement with a degree in either business administration, supply chain management, project management
  • Experience in commodity management, project execution, and sourcing strategy development in an industrial and international environment
  • Good stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of seniority
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills, to communicate - influence effectively others
  • Advanced skills in Powerpoint and Excel required
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience working across different cultures and regions

  • Team player with an open approach to encourage stakeholder inputs, combined with structured and fact-based methods to secure value-adding ideas are prioritized and successfully implemented
  • Positive in nature, with a process driven mindset and the capability to perform in a fast-paced environment
