Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join Northvolt's Materials Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology to enable the future of energy!

As an Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and easy to use IT and digital solutions for operations for the Materials Business Unit at the Northvolt ETT site in Skellefteå.

This role is focused on (but not limited to) working with digital tools and hardware that impact production and the supporting functions. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering support to the operations teams and participate in IT and OT infrastructure related projects for the business unit’s factories.

Your profile and Key responsibilities:

Service Operations: You’ll be accountable for continuity and performance of IT and OT infrastructure on operations side. You will act as a link between operations and the Northvolt ETT Digitalization and Central IT teams, and assist in formulating needs, finding, and implementing suitable solutions (including map and describe processes and master data, create demand and specification documents, order and install hardware).

IT demand management: Support to the ETT Digitalization demand team by contributing with Materials domain knowledge in identifying needs related to the IT infrastructure, e.g. setting up new network and make sure that the company standard is properly applied.

Performance Enhancement: Continuously review and improve services from both a performance and operational efficiency perspective, updating documentation as needed. Implement preventative maintenance to sustain or enhance service delivery.

Supporting knowledge in the following areas are desired:

  • ERP: Logistics and Warehouse Management, Maintenance and work order handling
  • MES and SCADA: Order handling, Production reporting, Machine connectivity

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor of science or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, automation, industrial engineering or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or manufacturing IT/OT organisation
  • Experience from participating in IT projects for manufacturing
  • Experience in working with IT/OT infrastructure
  • Preferred to have experience in ERP (MS Dynamics), LIMS, MES, SCADA

  • Experience in a help or service desk role is a plus

  • Knowledge in Network and Cloud Topology

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud solutions is a bonus
  • Experienced in leading IT implementation projects with interdisciplinary teams
  • Has the ability to take decisions even in the face of uncertainty
  • Is visionary and contributes to push beyond conventional wisdom
  • Challenges solutions and ideas
  • Team player, contributes with authentic passion and energy
  • High level of grit, morale
