Backend Software Engineer Specialist – Energy Management Solutions

Your Day-to-Day

As a Backend Software Engineer in the Scalable Core team you will design and implement robust, cloud-native backend services with C# and .NET inside a microservices architecture. You will integrate your services seamlessly into the Siemens Energy Software Factory and optimize deployments across cloud and edge environments. CI/CD pipelines automate testing and deployment while maintaining our high standards of quality, security and compliance.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimize scalable backend services using C# and .NET
• Integrate services into the Software Factory landscape and other Siemens Energy systems
• Automate deployment processes with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Build and maintain end-to-end automated testing frameworks
• Deploy and operate services on AWS, Azure or GCP and in Kubernetes
• Implement monitoring and logging to guarantee reliability and performance

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, 3+ years in backend development
• Strong track record delivering secure, scalable microservices with C#/.NET; Python skills are a plus
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling and best practices
• Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
