Service > Global Service Supply Chain > Tools Region APC IN

Global Tools department is operating many Tool Warehouses in different region globally at Vestas and Tools Region APC IN is part of one. We are supplying Installation & Commissioning tools to Project department; Operation & Maintenance tools to Service department by covering more than 35 sites within India. Our aim is to deliver qualified tools to operate the Construction & Service activity safer, smarter & better to be sustaining Vestas a global leader in wind energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise warehouse workflow for end-to-end operations.
  • Analyze warehouse demand and assign appropriate workers to supply the qualified material.
  • Create and maintain warehouse documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Implement safety procedures and standards across all warehouse operations.
  • Familiar with the import and export of goods, including used and capital goods.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and transparency of materials with proper storage identification.
  • Develop and implement accurate inventory controls; maintain and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Apply FIFO, Kaizen improvements, and strategies to increase productivity and ensure best-in-class warehouse operations.
  • Map and provide appropriate training or retraining for warehouse employees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Analyze and minimize unnecessary warehouse operational costs.
  • Conduct periodic stock assessments as per company policies and requirements.
  • Ensure warehouse assets remain in good working and operational condition.
  • Collaborate with internal business units, regional teams, and global teams for smooth operations.
  • Deliver timely and high-quality outputs as per agreed SLA with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Engineering / Master's degree or any equivalent educational qualification.
  • 7+ years of experience as a supervisor or team leader in warehouse operations.
  • Extensive experience with SAP, particularly in the MM module.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills and extensive experience in end-to-end warehouse operations.
  • Proven leadership abilities and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and meet evolving requirements.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis.
  • High attention to detail with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a good sense of humor.
  • Strong logical reasoning, numerical, technical, and IT skills.
