Federal Volunteer Service – Climate Protection Projects (m/f/d)

Atmosfair is a non-profit climate protection organisation operating at the interface of business and civil society. We finance our work through CO₂ compensation and build our own renewable-energy projects in the Global South. We also advise companies on green energy solutions and develop specialised software. Our Neukölln office in Berlin employs 40 staff and collaborates with international partners in Europe, Asia and Africa. Environmental NGOs, the Federal Ministry for the Environment and high-level representatives from politics and science support our mission.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team immediately as part of the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD).

Your tasks

• Research country- and technology-specific data to adapt climate protection projects to local conditions
• Assist in developing and designing Gold Standard CDM climate protection projects, focusing on co-benefits such as knowledge transfer
• Support calculation of key performance indicators for climate management concepts (corporate & product carbon footprints, Science-Based Targets, GHG Protocol)
• Create texts, flyers and presentation material to showcase our projects to corporate and private donors

Your profile

• Completed degree in engineering, environmental technology, natural sciences or several years of professional experience
• Strong interest and personal motivation in climate protection, CSR and sustainability
• Excellent MS Office skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and CMS experience (WordPress) advantageous
• Independent, meticulous and reliable working style
• Strong communication skills, team spirit and sense of humour
• Native-level German and very good English
• Minimum age: 25
