Paratransit Driver

Paratransit Driver for Trinity Metro On-Demand by Via – in Fort Worth you will drive accessible vans and deliver outstanding customer service to riders.

Your responsibilities:

• Safely and courteously operate lift-equipped vehicles for elderly and mobility-impaired passengers
• Learn Via operations standards and safety procedures
• Carry out daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Your profile:

• Sound area knowledge of Fort Worth
• Conversational English proficiency
• Able to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles per safety guidelines
• Customer-focused, friendly demeanor
• Physical strength to push/position over 400 lb (wheelchairs/equipment)
• Comfortable kneeling for extended periods to secure wheelchairs
• Valid driver’s licence
• Pass drug screening, background check and MVR review
• Minimum age 25
• In-person application at Via’s Fort Worth office required

Compensation & benefits:

• Training wage USD 17/h, rising to USD 18/h; experienced trainers up to USD 19/h
• Monthly gross ~ USD 3,120–3,293 (40-hour week)
