Manufacturing process expert: You are Climeworks’ lead expert in operating novel production lines for sorbent filter manufacturing during development, ramp-up and full operation.
Ownership of all manufacturing-process-engineering aspects for new sorbent filter materials (close cooperation with manufacturing engineers and product owners):
– Understand process parameters and their impact on product quality
– Evaluate and refine parameter windows for equipment procurement and start-up
– Lead ramp-up, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
– Conduct and own process FMEAs before, during and after start-up
– Ensure robust documentation, training and knowledge transfer
Cross-functional collaboration: Align closely with R&D, characterization/quality, product design and sorbent/process-development teams to guarantee that manufacturing parameters yield high-quality sorbent modules; support the development of new test methods.
External partnerships & technical leadership: Act as the key technical authority in collaborations with external partners, ensuring DAC-specific requirements for sorbent-filter manufacturing are met, including on-site process monitoring when required.
Team player: Support lab-scale manufacturing in R&D and evaluation of future-oriented DAC concepts whenever needed.
