Service Specialist for Marine Applications

Your scope of work

As a member of our Marine Service team you commission automation systems on board ships and boats on time and on budget, serving customers nationwide and worldwide. Modern technologies and flexible deployment (on-site, phone, remote support) guarantee efficient customer care.

Your responsibilities

  • Commissioning of electrical systems: carrying out functional tests and inspections on switchboards, transformers, generators, motor controls and power-distribution systems
  • Preparing detailed commissioning plans: creating procedures, schedules and checklists tailored to project-specific requirements
  • Fault-finding and repair on electrical systems: analysing data, running tests and applying structured troubleshooting routines
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations (VDE, CE)
  • Documenting commissioning activities in comprehensive reports with test results and asset-performance data
  • Quality control during commissioning to verify conformity with design specifications and industry standards
Your profile
  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering or degree in automation/drive engineering, alternatively several years of comparable professional experience with sound know-how in electrical and power engineering
  • Knowledge of occupational safety rules, quality-management systems, standards and codes (VDE, CE)
  • Negotiation-level German and English, spoken and written
  • High willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Physical and mental resilience for work at sea and in confined, pressurised areas under adverse weather conditions
