Junior Primary Design Engineer – Siemens Energy, Cairo

A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Junior Primary Design Engineer at Siemens Energy you will design and lay out primary electrical equipment, directly contributing to the efficiency and safety of our customers’ power systems. You create equipment layouts, review vendor drawings, calculate earthing and lightning protection and apply BIM for project coordination. A collaborative, interdisciplinary team supports you in implementing sustainable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Prepare equipment, earthing and cable-route layouts
• Review vendor drawings for GIS, transformers, capacitor banks and HV cables
• Perform earthing and lightning-protection calculations (CYMGRD, CDEGS)
• Estimate BOQs for earthing, lightning, lighting and small-power systems
• Apply BIM and run clash detection for project coordination
• Support pre-tender engineering: BOQ estimation and technical submissions

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant primary-engineering experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CYMGRD and CDEGS
• Sound understanding of layout engineering and multi-discipline interfaces
• Knowledge of national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, DIN)
• Experience in earthing design and lightning-protection calculations
