CNC Lathe Machinist (2nd Shift Mon–Fri 4:00 pm–12:00 am)

A Snapshot of Your Day

After a shift briefing on safety, assignments, and daily targets, you take over your CNC lathe. You check electronic shop notes from the previous shift, set up steady rests and shoes for the generator rotor, and load the 50–70 t component with a crane. Precise alignment, tool setting, running G- and M-code programs, continuous machining, and detailed hand-over notes complete your shift.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Machine large generator rotor shafts from high-alloy steel forgings
  • Align and clamp rotors with steady rests for micron precision
  • Operate Tacchi CNC lathes (18 m, 110 t) and multiple Ferrel CNC lathes
  • Mentor apprentices in the Siemens Energy training program
  • Drive Lean and 5S continuous-improvement initiatives

What You Bring

  • High-school diploma or equivalent plus ≥4 years manual/CNC lathe experience, preferably with steady rests
  • Solid knowledge of G- and M-codes
  • Ability to read complex drawings and use precision measuring tools
  • Willingness to earn fork-truck and crane licences and an ACT® WorkKeys® certificate (Silver or higher)
  • US work authorization without sponsorship

Employment contingent on successful background check and pre-employment medical screening.
