Project Management

Position Summary
As Lead Commissioner you will coordinate and execute wind-farm commissioning across the USA. You lead the on-site technical team, safeguard turbine quality and ensure timely hand-over to customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor daily commissioning tasks for Nordex technicians and subcontractors.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training on start-up procedures.
  • Audit turbine work to guarantee customer quality.
  • Manage spare-parts inventory, raise NCs and order missing items.
  • Conduct monthly checks on tools, PPE and vehicles.
  • Prepare progress reports for internal departments.
  • Enforce Health, Safety & Environmental standards at all times.
  • Deliver post-sales support: IRT/LBA installation, troubleshooting, component exchange.
  • Demobilize containers, personnel and vehicles after project completion.
  • Return tools and assets to West Branch; schedule calibration and PPE re-certification.
  • Hold close-out debrief to capture lessons learned and improvement actions.

Your Profile

  • Associate degree in electrical / renewable energy technology or equivalent wind-industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years as Wind-Turbine Commissioner, incl. ≥ 2 years WTG commissioning.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fibre-optic systems on Nordex/Acciona turbines.
  • Competent in switching various switch-gears.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisation and troubleshooting skills.
  • MS-Office proficiency; fluent English for safety instructions and reporting.
  • Willingness to spend 100 % of project duration on remote wind-farm sites; valid driver’s licence and clean record for company vehicle use.

Safety Requirements

  • Wear required PPE (eye & hearing protection, steel-toe boots, hard hat); loose clothing or jewellery not permitted.
  • Pro-actively identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Communicate effectively in English with team and management.

Compensation & Benefits

USD 38–40 per hour (≈ USD 8,213–8,645 monthly gross) plus up to 5 % bonus.
