Lead Data Strategy & Architecture Consultant (f/m/d)

Your Role

As Lead Data Strategy & Architecture Consultant you define the data strategy and architecture for our Grid Technologies business units. You develop roadmaps, consult business domains on enterprise data solutions and lead large transformation projects from concept to execution. Your focus is on creating robust data governance standards and introducing new technologies to digitalize the energy grid.

Your Responsibilities

• Strategy workshops with business units: translate “digital grid” objectives into concrete data roadmaps and architectural blueprints
• Technical advisor to Execution Units: review solution proposals, challenge inefficient designs, drive enterprise architectures (Data Mesh, Lakehouse)
• Project leadership without line authority: push cloud migrations, master-data harmonization etc. across distributed teams
• Golden standards: define quality and governance guidelines and ensure local solutions align with the global data strategy
• Technology scouting: evaluate and advise on adoption of AI/ML, automation, data fabric

Your Background

• Degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or similar
• 5+ years in data strategy, enterprise architecture or technical consulting within matrix organizations
• Deep expertise in modern data stacks: Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS, Python/SQL
• Proven leadership without authority: align stakeholders, manage expectations, secure progress
• Experience with major transformations (on-premise → cloud, data governance per DAMA)
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT, pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Azure Data Factory), SQL/NoSQL
