Legal Counsel – Wind Energy (UK)

Your Role

As Legal Counsel you will advise Siemens Gamesa’s UK & Ireland legal team on all material legal matters in the wind-energy sector. Work within a 12-person, flexibly organised team and actively shape the energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate complex turbine supply and service & maintenance agreements
  • Advise on contract interpretation and develop strategies for claims and dispute resolution
  • Pro-actively analyse legal risks during sales and project execution phases
  • Deliver in-depth legal training to business and legal colleagues
  • Drive efficiency through involvement in cross-legal-team improvement projects
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel when required

Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer (UK, Ireland or equivalent) with 3–6 years’ PQE
  • Experience in an international law firm or in-house legal department, ideally within energy, construction, infrastructure or project-finance sectors
  • Knowledge of FIDIC, JCT, NEC or similar construction contracts; wind-sector background advantageous
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders, strong written and oral skills
  • Fluency in English mandatory; able to practise law professionally in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally
  • Location: Camberley office or home-based anywhere in the UK
