Our team works diligently to ensure customers receive safe and high-quality products on time, every time. The logistics team is vital, coordinating everything from inbound and receiving to warehousing, internal delivery, planning, outbound logistics, stock control, and the efficient use of all related equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding operations in alignment with Vestas' values and behaviors, with a commitment to sustaining a Safety & Quality Culture
  • Conducting regular safety and quality walks (daily or weekly)
  • Managing end-to-end delivery processes to meet planning targets and customer expectations
  • Ensuring On-Time Ordering (OTO)
  • Overseeing all on-site planning activities (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually)
  • Monitoring and following up on On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Performing regular stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Developing and maintaining a logistics staffing plan to support production and delivery needs
  • Implementing effective planning and follow-up routines across all timeframes
  • Supporting organizational development through follow-up on biannual employee surveys and related improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Substantial experience in logistics at a managerial level
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a solid background in guiding teams and projects
  • Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken)

Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience as a people manager, with effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to navigate and utilize its tools effectively
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different environments
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability in tasks and projects
  • Maintains a positive and motivated attitude
  • Solid experience working in Agile environments

Additional information

This is an on-site role based in Taranto, Italy, with up to 10% travel annually.
