Logistics Specialist

As the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas is driving the energy transition. To strengthen our logistics team we are looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist for our facility in Brighton, Colorado.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensure seamless material supply to production lines according to schedule
• Manage inbound, storage, picking, kitting and shipping of turbine components
• Close coordination with production, planning, quality and purchasing to avoid downtime
• Compliance with EHS standards, lean principles and regulatory requirements
• Lead and coach warehouse & material-handling teams to achieve KPIs
• Inventory control through cycle counts, audits and variance analysis
• Continuous-improvement projects on layout, material flow and space utilization
• Monitor operational KPIs (OTIF, warehouse lead time, inventory turns)
• Support plant expansions, relocations and implementation of new technologies
• Align with global logistics teams to maintain consistent standards

Your profile:

• Degree in logistics, engineering or comparable qualification
• 5-7 years of warehouse/materials management experience in manufacturing
• Solid knowledge of warehouse & factory logistics, Kanban and pull systems
• Strong SAP skills plus experience with WMS and ERP reporting
• Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese advantageous
• Deep understanding of EHS, lean (5S, Kaizen) and continuous improvement
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate teams in dynamic environments
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work shifts/weekends if required
