Lifting Equipment Technician

Vattenfall Hydropower is looking for a Lifting Equipment Technician to join the team that modernises and maintains all types of lifting equipment in our power plants. The position offers a flexible location in Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland or Gävleborg.

As a Lifting Equipment Technician you will handle installation, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance of cranes, overhead travelling cranes, hoists and other lifting devices. You will act as a technical adviser, suggest improvements and ensure compliance with inspection rules and regulations. The role involves frequent travel to Vattenfall’s hydropower plants throughout Sweden with regular overnight stays. Administrative tasks such as updating maintenance systems, writing protocols and scheduling are also part of the job.

Qualifications:

• Upper-secondary education in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Experience in industrial machinery maintenance
• Skilled in troubleshooting and reading schematics – meriting
• Experience servicing lifting gear and lifting equipment – strongly meriting
• Class B driving licence
• Good command of Swedish and preferably English
• Good IT skills
• Comfortable working at height

You are responsible, thorough, safety-conscious and used to planning and working independently. A positive, service-minded attitude and the ability to build good working relationships are essential.

Location: Flexible within Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland or Gävleborg – state preferred town/residence in your application.
