Material Planner

As a Material Planner at Siemens Energy, you optimize material flow and planning for the Charlotte Power Transformer plant. You ensure availability of insulation materials, tanks, and silicon steel while aligning with production needs, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Enforce standards and lean principles across logistics teams.
• Optimize value-added material flow to boost production efficiency.
• Lead material planning, on-time delivery KPIs, inventory analysis, and demand forecasting.
• Maintain MRP Master Data for accurate planning and execution.
• Evaluate supplier risks and support scorecard reviews with procurement and quality teams.
• Identify at-risk materials, coordinate escalations, and develop mitigation strategies.

What You Bring

• 3+ years supply chain or logistics experience in material planning or analytics.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI; experience with SAP and WMS.
• Knowledge of long-term material planning strategies and planning horizons.
• Strong communication and supplier coaching abilities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
