As an Operational planner you are responsible for setting up and maintaining the site long term planning over the lifetime of the Service agreements existing and new sites, general support and setting up standard service reporting (KPI’s) according to contractual requirements, using Primavera P6.  With direct technical liaison between the client, site management and area management you will assure optimization of resources and logistics. Ensuring the Zero Harm policy and upholding Compliance guidelines is a prerequisite in this position.

How to contribute to our vision

As our new Operational Planner, some of your key tasks will include but not limited to

  • Responsible for end-to-end planning and scheduling, further evolving it to meet the demands of the complex portfolio of offshore major projects;
  • Use advanced knowledge in Primavera P6 to develop project baseline and related documentation as part of annual planning cycle, update regularly to re-forecast the schedule;
  • Prepare catchup plan and corresponding resource demand as and when required;
  • Liaise with client and site management to ensure optimal utilisation of resource and logistics;
  • Ensure adherence to planning and governance quality standards, document filing systems;
  • Ability to review schedule performance against baseline and analyse timesheet data to find out reason for deviation. Highlight slippages to respective stakeholders;
  • Track baselined productivity norms vs actuals at site to assess risk on time-schedule;
  • Apply Earned Value Management metrices for performance measurement;
  • Generate weekly/ monthly progress reports (as per requirement), look ahead reports, milestones reports, variance reports, critical path reports to assist project manager ;
  • Develop presentation on planning as and when required to support progress reviews / decision making;
  • Engage with central planning function on planning quality assurance, performance assumptions, planning governance, accurate integration of P6 schedule to Power Bi, performance reporting accuracy and other planning topics.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for the following:

  • Ability to work in an international environment having excellent Business English skills, both orally and in writing;
  • Advanced skill with planning and control systems like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project;
  • Advanced skill in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SAP;
  • Good understanding of Power BI basics;
  • Good understanding of planning principles and theory, ideally including appropriate planning qualifications;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within project environments.
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through ability to analyze, interrogate, and draw conclusions from large and complex data sets;
  • Living in or close to the Gdansk with the ability to travel to site. You must be in possession of a valid work permit;
  • The ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for your own workload;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements;
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice;
  • In possession of driving license B;
  • The ability to communicate efficiently with stakeholders in a self-confident manner;
  • Previous experience with working in the wind industry would be beneficial, although full training will be given;
  • The ability to travel for work including occasional international travel.
