Performance Excellence Intern – Siemens Energy Internship

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Performance Excellence Intern you will be embedded in our dynamic Region North America – Execution Performance team.

You will support project managers on strategically important, cross-functional projects for Service Operations, focusing on cost reduction and the automation of project-results tracking from planning through implementation to measurement.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in building and executing complex internal projects
• Develop business cases and prioritization for continuous-improvement initiatives
• Collect baseline and follow-up performance data; automate reporting
• Continuously optimize milestone tracking and forecasting
• Automate impact measurement of major projects
• Identify new cost-reduction opportunities

Your Profile

• Currently studying Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics or related field, ideally with a focus on Finance or Project Management
• Ability to automate project tracking using AI tools (Power BI, Co-Pilot, Excel, Power Apps)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using KPIs to communicate status and improvements
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge a plus (A3, DMAIC, process mapping, 7 wastes)
• Team player with clear international communication skills
