We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. We are now looking for a Project Purchasing Manager to join our Supply Chain team.

Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo and Polestar cars.

What You Will Do

As Project Purchasing Manager Equipment you will be involved in Purchasing Projects for NOVO, collaborating closely with Strategic Purchasing of each category of Equipment needed to produce the cell, Process Engineering, Quality Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance.

The overall mission is to plan, organize, direct and manage the purchasing projects to meet the economic, lead-time, quality and capacity targets of the NOVO projects and important customer targets.

Supply Chain at NOVO work in close collaboration with the corresponding function at Northvolt. This role require some regular travelling to Stockholm.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan, organize, direct and follow-up the purchasing projects including Sourcing- and Cashout Plans development and validation, vendor selection together with Strategic Purchasing, as well as equipment tests and commissioning plan, Design Changes during development and mass production phases.
• Monitor and manage the suppliers capacities, quality, economic objectives to achieve targets, with the support of Strategic Purchasing and Supplier Quality.
• Align internal stakeholders (Process Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance etc.) to timely achieve joint agreements, commitments and shared goals.
• Design and deploy Project Purchasing Processes, Milestones, Reviews, Reporting Dashboards, aligned with program management principles, Quality Management System, and company strategy.

Your Backgound

• You hold a master degree in Engineering or Supply chain related field and 3-5 years experience as purchasing project management in the purchasing function from the automotive industry or battery field.
• Excellent English written and oral skill
• Highly organized and result driven
• Proactive and goes beyond expectation
• Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
• You are a team player but can also work independently
