Senior Heat Pump Field Application Engineer

Role

As Senior Heat Pump Field Application Engineer you bridge product engineering, R&D, and the technicians who install our systems. You will:

• Be the primary technical link between design teams and installers
• Optimise design, manufacturing, and installation processes
• Advise field design teams on technical matters
• Provide daily support for every heat-pump installation, using performance data (COP/SCOP) to debug issues and recommend improvements
• Act as escalation point for customer support
• Own installer and customer documentation, spares lists, and training materials
• Visit customer sites and our R&D facility in Portadown (Belfast) as required
• Lead warranty analysis and liaise with suppliers on technical root-cause investigations

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• 5+ years field-application experience with heat pumps or refrigeration systems
• Deep understanding of heat-pump design, HVAC, and refrigeration circuits; competence in power electronics and hydraulics
• Knowledge of MCS, F-Gas and relevant EN standards
• Proven retrofit and new-build heat-pump installation experience
• Familiarity with smart electronic controls
