Service Technician – Snowtown Wind Farm (Barunga Gap, South Australia)

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Inspect, maintain and repair wind turbines during scheduled and unscheduled outages
• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults in pitch, speed-control and converter systems
• Conduct exterior tower inspections to confirm structural integrity; maintain accurate service records
• Manage tool and spare-part inventories needed for installations and repairs
• Follow SGRE safety standards rigorously; work independently or in small teams with strong communication
• Flexible on-call availability and ability to work in variable wind conditions

What You Bring

• Electrical trade certificate (South Australian registration) or equivalent mechanical qualification
• Experience preparing & using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
• Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and medical fitness to work at height
• Prior wind-industry or large-scale industrial-electrical experience advantageous; valid GWO certificate preferred
• Strong safety and environmental awareness with a proactive, high-performance mindset
