Smart Meter Engineer (Scotland)

Join Octopus Energy and help accelerate the global renewable energy revolution. We are hiring Smart Meter Engineers across Scotland to deliver safe, customer-focused meter installations in homes.

Your role
Install and commission smart meters (electricity & gas)
Demonstrate in-home displays and explain energy-saving benefits
Educate customers on green energy and Octopus solutions
Uphold the highest safety and service standards

Essential qualifications

• MOCoPA certificate (issued within last 3 years)
• Gas Safe: CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence (≤ 6 penalty points)

Remuneration & benefits

£36,500 base salary (£3,042/month)
£2,500 annual performance bonus + fit bonuses
£25/week lunch allowance, company van, fuel, tools
£15 extra for every asset beyond your 6th daily install

Overtime & call-out

One-in-five week call-out rota: £250 retainer + door-to-door pay
Saturday work: £50 attendance + £70 dual-fuel / £35 single-fuel install
Technical aborts paid at half rate
