How to contribute to our vision

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead for our Transport department in the NE&ME region. 

We are looking for someone who agrees and implementsstrategy for the TRA team ensuring agreed targets and key performance measures are achieved. Working with the logistics providers to ensure continuous improvement and compliance to the SGRE contractual terms. Being the key point of contact for logistics providers for continuous performance updates and first point of contact for escalation.  

Establish close relationships with other SP&S personnel, regional and global process specialists within SP&S and the subcontractors. 

You will lead and distribute work: election, management, assessment and development of employees in the TRA team to ensure long-term corporate success with a motivated and engaged team. Planning, optimization and control of department resource as well you will be partially in charge with adaptation and implementation of efficient forms of organization, procedures and processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity and to meet safety requirements.

We need a person who will be the first point of contact for engagement with the logistics providers to ensure compliance to SGRE processes and contract agreement. Working with key stakeholders to highlight concerns and work towards resolutions in a timely manner and to a high standard. 

Safety: Ensuring all current safety regulations are adhered to and feel empowered to stop work as needed when safety or quality within SGRE or the logistics providers are at risk. 

Improvements/Problem Solving: Participate in SP&S meetings and support the team and logistics providers to develop ideas to improve processes. Also, to ensure all processes and procedures are followed regarding SP&S details and system information. 

You will be reporting to the SP&S Warehouse Management Head with all relevant and agreed targets and key performance indicators and communicating with key stakeholders and the team as required. Building outstanding key stakeholder internal and external relationships. You will be leading regular team meetings to be increased as required to overcome any relevant problems, meetings with other key stakeholders on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, weekly Management meetings, wider SP&S meetings as requested.

The ability to work geographically separated from the team, customers, suppliers and key stake holders is also important as there will beinfrequent face to face meetings (5% travel).

What you need to make a difference

A person with at least 5 years’ experience working within supply chain management who has strong attention to details and is able to work under pressure and deliver under strict deadlines. 

Effective workload management, planning and organizing work in a logical manner for self and within a team as neededis a very important skill. Experience in SAP systems functionality is an advantage. 

Knowledge within business processes and supply chain.
