Help shape the energy future. Hydropower refurbishment and environmental aspects of renewable-energy plants offer fascinating projects that are waiting for your expertise. To strengthen our know-how, we are expanding the Environmental Management & Environmental Impact Assessment team within Axpo’s Environment department.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and provide specialist environmental and aquatic-ecology input for renewable-energy and hydropower refurbishment schemes (fish passes, hydro-peaking, sediment management)
  • Prepare environmental notes and environmental-impact assessments for construction projects; accompany implementation professionally (environmental construction supervision)
  • Coordinate projects including cost and schedule control; guide sub-project leaders from various specialist areas
  • Manage and coordinate external engineering and environmental consultancies; run tender processes and compare bids
  • Communicate with authorities and stakeholder groups

Profile & Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering or Natural Sciences from ETH/University
  • Experience with environmental-impact assessments and hydropower refurbishment an advantage
  • Knowledge of aquatic ecology, hydrology and further engineering/environmental topics desirable
  • Experience in leading interdisciplinary projects and project-management skills welcome
