Your contribution to the energy transitionAs a purchaser of direct materials at the Siemens Energy plant in Nuremberg, you ensure timely, cost-optimized and high-quality material supply for production. You manage all purchasing-related processes along the supply chain and work closely with engineering, quality, production planning, manufacturing and project management.
Your responsibilities- End-to-end ownership of purchasing processes for assigned material groups; responsibility for on-time, cost and quality-compliant order processing
- Operational and logistical material planning: evaluation of global market analyses, supplier selection, bundling of procurement activities
- Processing of placed orders, handling of supplier-caused additional costs and claim management
- Participation in the further development and compliant implementation of global procurement processes (Purchase-to-Pay, compliance, SAP)
- Identification and realization of cost savings; transparent documentation of results
- Close cooperation with internal customers (requestors) and suppliers for continuous process improvement
What you bring- Completed technical or commercial vocational training with several years of experience in industrial purchasing, or a degree in economics/engineering
- Technical understanding of direct materials and basic knowledge of contract management
- Strong SAP and MS Office skills, fluent German and English; additional languages are a plus
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, flexibility and solution-oriented mindset
