Senior Extended Reality (XR) Designer

Your contribution to the team

As a Senior XR Designer you create immersive virtual- and augmented-reality solutions that create real added value for Siemens Energy users. You develop UX concepts and 3D interfaces, build interactive prototypes, advise citizen developers and make sure every XR application offers contemporary design and high usability.

Your responsibilities

• Concept, storyboard and iteratively refine XR use cases (training, design reviews, product demos, digital twins)
• Build 3D prototypes in Unity/Unreal and no-code tools (ShapesXR, SynergyXR)
• UX design for spatial interactions and 3D surfaces, including user research and usability tests
• Consult internal teams on design questions, adapt 3D assets and create style guides
• Document KPIs & design standards, build a unified XR design system
• Visual communication: 2D/3D graphics and animations for marketing & community

Your profile

• 5+ years professional experience in XR/games development or 3D design, focused on UX & interaction design
• Demonstrable portfolio featuring conceptual work, 3D prototypes and XR training, visualization or metaverse projects
• Confident with common XR hardware sets and their capabilities & limitations
• Expertise in Blender/Maya, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and Unity/Unreal (assets, interactions, builds)
• Experience with no-code XR tools (ShapesXR, Gravity Sketch, etc.) and AI-assisted ideation tools
• Strong English skills, team & project-lead experience; basic scripting knowledge an advantage
