SGRE is looking for a dynamic and versatile Tax Specialist to join our dynamic tax team in Spain. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to tax compliance efforts (including assistance on TP local obligations and advice), and assist in VAT area and digital implementation processes. How to contribute to our vision

  • Ensure that tax compliance of Spanish entities or their permanent establishments out of Spain is properly managed, dealing with external advisors or local collagues and handling any communication, notification or requirement issued by the tax authorities.
  • Communicate with advisors or local collagues and provide necessary support in connection with tax audits, notifications, correspondence with tax authorities, etc.
  • Be involved on regular closings, reporting and FFSS tax calculations of Spanish entities or their permanent establishments out of Spain under management.
  • Analyse tax implications derived from the day-to-day of the business of Spanish entities or their permanent establishments out of Spain under management.
  • Ensure that Spanish transfer pricing obligations, such as Local File and relevant tax return, for Spanish entities are met.
  • Help on improving and implementing processes across the organization to ensure tax obligations are met
  • Assistance to deliver solutions to tax needs end to end across the business lifecycle, working in on-going collaboration with the Administration, Finance and Accounting teams.
  •  Support in the process to implement tax tools.

What You Need to Make a Difference

  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar role or in a legal firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of taxes
  • Knowledge of SAP (software and related technologies) at user level. Experience in other tax tools is a plus.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
  • Problem solving skills and get things done attitude
  • Efficiency, flexibility and proactiveness
  • Team worker
  • Organized and detail-oriented person
  • Ability to develop in multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English written and spoken. Other languages are a plus (i.e.: German)
