Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is looking for a dynamic and versatile Tax Specialist to join our dynamic tax team in Spain. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to tax compliance efforts (including assistance on TP local obligations and advice), and assist in VAT area and digital implementation processes.

How to contribute to our vision

• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Support Role: Assist the tax team with business project tax advice and provide support in various tax-related matters helping to navigate complex tax landscapes.
• Digital Implementation: Help in the implementation and enhancement of digital tools and processes to streamline tax operations.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations, and analyze their impact on the company’s operations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tax-related activities and communications.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide tax support and ensure compliance across the organization.
• Performs a full range of tax activities for an assigned organization, in order to optimize the Tax position of assigned unit.

What You Need to Make a Difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in tax compliance or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax software and digital implementation projects. SAP experience at user level is required. Experience in other tax tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Team player
• Organized and detail-oriented person
• Ability to develop in multicultural environment
• English. Other languages are a plus (i.e.: German)
