Wind Technician (Renewables) – Goldendale, Washington

Your Day at a Glance

Join one of the world’s leading suppliers of wind power solutions as a Wind Technician for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. Together with a multidisciplinary team you will ensure top performance of our wind farms. You will carry out service and maintenance on wind turbines, troubleshoot faults, escalate technical issues to engineering and help develop new field procedures.

A flexible work schedule and up to 20 % travel are required; relocation assistance may be provided.

Your Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of wind turbines
• Troubleshooting turbine faults
• Technical escalation to engineering support
• Self-motivated, efficient problem solving on site
• Flexible shift planning to maximise turbine availability

Your Profile

• High-school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (mandatory)
• Minimum 6 months hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical or industrial setting (military, maintenance, automotive, etc.)
• Physical fitness for work at height and in confined spaces; body weight ≤ 265 lb (120 kg)
• Must pass medical examination and drug screening
• Certificate from a wind or renewable-energy training programme or previous wind-technician experience beneficial

Location: Goldendale, Washington. Salary: USD 50,000 – 60,000 gross per year, commensurate with qualifications.
