Wind Turbine Technician

Your Day at a Glance

Siemens Energy is looking for a dedicated Wind Turbine Technician at our Blue Hill wind farm near Lomond, Alberta. Safety and quality are at the heart of our culture.

Together with a multidisciplinary team you will ensure optimum performance of our wind turbines. You will work flexible shifts including on-call duties, analyse and solve problems independently and help develop new maintenance standards.

Your Tasks

• Service, maintenance and troubleshooting of Siemens Gamesa SG4X turbines
• Timely documentation and customer service
• Work in nacelle height approx. 90 m
• Intensive safety and technical training
• Climb minimum 267 ladder rungs, lift loads, move in confined spaces, work in extreme weather

Your Profile

• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, PLC and converters
• Safe, team-oriented working style
• Strong organisational skills, high quality and results orientation
• MS Office skills
• Canadian work permit, driver’s licence, passport
