Worker Engagement Specialist (Freelance)

Ulula’s software and analytics platform connects anonymously with stakeholders to obtain honest feedback and create more transparent, responsible supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Deploy digital worker-voice programmes across Indian supply chains (remote and on site)
• Train and provide technical support to supplier platforms
• Manage grievance cases within programmes that use digital grievance mechanisms
• Deliver investigation and remediation support for brands when required
• Develop and update supplier and worker onboarding materials
• Maintain regular communication with supplier management from programme introduction through status updates
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
• Gather client and supplier feedback to guide platform advancement

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in global supply chains focused on social compliance or labour rights
• Excellent communication skills in English and Gujarati (Marathi and Hindi advantageous)
• Highly organised, conscientious and accountable
• Experience in customer service and project delivery
• Must be based in India (Gujarat or Maharashtra preferred)
• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic travel

Desirable: Understanding of labour, human and community rights in global supply chains; experience introducing new technology and training others; passion for fair and safe workplaces; familiarity with BSCI, ETI, SA8000, SEDEX standards.
